harry h. gordon

Gordon was born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in 1960, but his family moved to Philadelphia in 1963. Harry later attended art classes at the Cheltenham Art Center, starting with ceramics. Gordon apprenticed with Borias Blai, a Russian-born sculptor who worked with Rodian and founded Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Harry attended Syracuse University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in sculpture, and received a Master's Degree of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. He went to work at the Johnson Atelier in Trenton, NJ and began teaching at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York in 1998. His works Tory's Comet, Kashmir I, and Kashmir II can be seen at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park along Gallery Loop Road.
