Plein Air Painting Workshop with Gratia Banta

Students provide their own canvas and supplies. Students can use class paints for an additional $10.

Students can also order a box lunch that includes a sandwich or salad, chips, pickle and cookie for only $10 additional.
This workshop will be exclusively a landscape and sky painting class. Open to artists who have experience using any opaque medium such as oils, acrylics or pastels. The workshop will include discussions, demonstrations, one-on-one pointers and a group critique at the end of the session. Bring a packed lunch to eat while you work.
About the Instructor:
Gratia Banta: For Gratia there is nothing more rewarding and challenging than painting under an open sky. See Gratia Arts on Facebook and www.gratiaarts.com. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Gratia sold paintings at the St. James Art Fair in Louisville, KY. She has painted in Ohio, Kentucky, Florida and Maine. Gratia studied with and is inspired by Lois Dodd, Malcolm Morley, and Syd Solomon. She has travelled to New York City annually for two decades. Also trips to New Orleans, San Francisco, Portland, Taos, Miami, Paris, Aix en Provence, Lyons, Bruges, Brussels, Nice; trips that deeply influence her work. The Van Gogh museum was a highlight. Gratia teaches Art Studio/History at Miami University Hamilton.
